Top 10 Anime Where Cold Guy falls for a Girl!

Here’s a list of top 10 anime Where Cold Guy falls for a girl

Let’s start this list off with number 10

10. Devils’ Line

anime where bad boy falls for a good girl

This anime has 12 episodes in dub.

It’s genres are action, drama, romance, shounen, supernatural and vampire.

This anime revolves around “Anzai”, half vampire, considered a bad boy.

And “Tsukasa”, a normal school girl.

Vampires seem to be living among humans, of course the government does not know of their existence because their appearance does not differ from humans.

They also do not need to drink blood but when they get a craving or get angry, they can become uncontrollable monsters.

For those who are having second thoughts on watching it, please give it a try (like 4 episodes at least).

Because, at first glance it gives off twilight vibes and looked like fan-service anime, but it gets really good. .

9. Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shoumei Shitemita

anime where bad boy falls for a good girl

This is an ongoing anime in dub.

For genres, it’s comedy and romance.

Himuro Ayame and Yukimura Shinya have feelings toward each other but as they are huge science nerds, they don’t believe in the feelings of love since feelings are not real but science is.

So they start to analyze the signs of love and other stuff like that.

We follow them while they conduct research on love and how to recognize the signs of love.

There are a lot of actual science which is nice.

They are highly hilarious together.

The research they do goes from how and where to go to a date, does the oxytocin level rise if they like each other etc.

Himuro sometimes feels like a tsundere but she is very open about their relationship.

Yukimura is very serious and does everything for science.

Of course we are talking about a person who has never touched a woman, so some of the test are hard.

Of course the man has said some very good one liners.

Let’s move to the supporting cast.

We haver our legal loli Ibarada Ena who probably plays more games than she should.

Kanade Kotonoha is also a scientist who for some reason knows martial arts.

My favourite madlad Inukai Kosuke, the man just spends all his time playing dating sims.

He also had to make a presentation so he did it on dating sims, and he gained praise for it.

Such a madman.

And of course, Professor Ikeda.

He is also smart as heck and he is a fusion between Senku and Machio.

He is very smart but when he is angry, he is very fucking scary and buff like a JoJo character.

The ost is fairly good sounding and the opening is very great. The song is very cool and so is the visuals.

If you like science, romcoms and other stuff like that, then this show is for you.

The comedy in my opinion is very funny but comedy is relative so not all people will like this but I recommend you trying this out.

A good anime where cold guy falls for a girl.

8. Ao Haru Ride

“Sometimes people put up walls, not to keep others out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.”

This anime has 12 episodes in sub only.

For genres, we have comedy, drama, romance, school, shoujo, and slice-of-life.

It’s nice to see a series like ‘Ao Haru Ride’ surface every now and again.

Something that takes a well-known storyline type and adds some unique elements to differ the experience a bit.

Nothing revolutionary or mind-blowing (doesn’t need to be), but unique,to a pleasant degree,  nonetheless.

To put it as simply as possible, a refreshing visit to a familiar kind of storyline.

There’s nothing overly complicated about the core plot, a story of two past lovers (in mutual spirit) reuniting later in their lives , a second chance.

But, it’s the underlying layers and nuances woven throughout the narrative that strengthen and elevate it (a little bit) above the cliché romp it could have been.

Now, that’s not to say that some parts of the show won’t have you thinking “I know where this is going.” or “Really?”

But compared to many others storylines of this type (Hollywood movies, novels, etc.) this is quite refreshing in a multitude of ways…

‘Ao Haru Ride’ thankfully helps ease the viewer through the inevitable drama by adding in unique characters with their own individual personalities, great humor (naturally occurring through the characters) and by giving the viewer some room to breathe.

It helps negate the stress of the drama somewhat, allowing it to become a plus rather than a minus.

So overall, the plot is rather solid considering the material, don’t expect perfection though.

Story follows “Yoshioka Futaba” who used to be in love with a boy named “Tanaka Kou” in middle school.

However, after a misunderstanding, their relationship as friends ends when he transfers schools over summer vacation.

In high school, her world is turned around once more when she meets Kou again.

This time, under the name of “Mabuchi Kou”.

7. Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara

anime where cold guy falls for a girl

This anime has 13 episodes, in sub only.

It’s genres are comedy, harem, romance and school.

“Hatate Souta” is a high school boy who can visualize flags for future events such as death flags, friendship flags and romance flags.

The concept of flags seems interesting right? Death flags, friendship flags, even a romance flag to top it all off.

The low score this anime has is something I strongly disagree with.

I think people are reading the synopsis and jumping the gun when they read about the concept.

This is NOT an Action/Adventure whatsoever.

This is a Comedy/Harem anime!

With that in mind this anime has a concept that is unique and did a good job showing it for the genre that this anime is under.

It made some really good comedy and actually has some serious parts in it.

This anime has sprung a lot of good points, but still has some bad qualities that may annoy people.

The story is a concept that is new and did a great job showing and did a good job with the building of plot and story line to make a wonderful comedy.

The art is something that I loved about the show and enjoyed greatly.

The characters along with the background are all bright colors that fit the comedy mood of the show greatly.

The characters are the best part of this anime and wouldn’t be nearly as good without them.

The openings and endings are super catchy and always made me want to listen more to it and just plain out enjoyed them.

I’d recommend this to anyone who is looking for an anime where cold guy falls for a girl or slice-of-life/harem to watch, not just looking for a cool show with the concept of flags.

As for the story, despite the flag viewing ability, he avoids making friends with others due to a trauma he experienced in a ship submergence accident.

For beautiful girls get interested in his strange way of living and they begin to live with him at the school dorm by force.

6. Sankarea: Undying love

anime where cold guy falls for a girl

So imagine this.

Close your eyes and picture yourself walking to school, having a great day, realizing that you just aced a test, talked to a boy/girl you like, ate a good meal, and come home.

You go to your room to relax but the first thing you see is a zombie girl lying half-naked on your bed.

You try to to tell yourself if this is reality or fiction but just can’t seem to do it.

Honestly, that’s the feeling I got when I first started watching this series.

In other words, very surprising!

This anime has 13 episodes, in dub.

For genres, it’s comedy, ecchi, horror, romance, shounen and supernatural.

Originally, I didn’t have high expectation of this series.

No, it is not because the series is tagged as “ecchi” by MAL or the fact that the main character has a zombie fascination (more like a fetish to be honest).

However, after watching about half the series that aired already, I had a hope for this series as it surprised me quite a bit, for the better.

The story tells the young boy named “Chihiro Furuya”, who has a strange hobby, or more a fascination on zombies.

Now, there’s something you don’t see or hear everyday.

However, despite being strange as it sounds, it is what our our main character loves.

His obsession with zombies can be traced to the point of obsession and even a fetish.

Sounds strange right?

I’m sure this would definitely be something strange even for any of us considered to be an otaku.

The story continues on from there where he meets another girl, an idol, to be exact who later after unfortunate circumstances becomes what he “loves”.

As for our main heroine (or maybe anti-hero later? I mean, she’s freaking dead already), she is an unique character.

Despite being one of the most beautiful girl at school, she strives hard to gain “freedom” or to be free from her life.

Most prominently, she tries to escape her circumstances at home because what goes beyond those doors are circumstances that some of us may puke or feel disgust about.

It is definitely something I’m sure most of us don’t want to be placed in our own circumstances in real life. (unless you like living in big mansions and get free tuition)

Overall, this was a pleasant journey.

I begged for more in the end and that to me means that the anime did a great job.

You’ll love the situations they get into as well as the overall story.

The art work just adds more praise to such a wonderful anime. If you like the idea of zombies and a bit of ecchi/romance then give it a try.

I did and was thoroughly surprised.

A good anime where cold guy falls for a good girl.

5. My Bride Is a Mermaid

Seto no Hanayome (My Bride Is a Mermaid ) is one of the rarest types of anime you can find, a parody rom-com that is actually extremely funny!

This anime has 26 episodes, in dub.

Michishio Nagasumi’s life couldn’t be any more normal.

In an odd twist of events, during his summer vacation, he ends up almost drowning in the sea.

Luckily, the cute mermaid “Seto Sun” appears to save him.

However, Sun is from Yakuza mermaid family and according to their law, if a human is to catch sight of a mermaid, either he or the mermaid must die.

The other way is for Nagasumi to be taken in as a family member, marrying Sun.

This is without doubt one of the funniest animes released in the past few years.

And I have never seen parody done so well since the original Jungle wa itsumo hale nochi guu (especially Michishio Nagasumi’s pardoy of Ken from Fist of the North Star, and Runa’s father as the the terminator).

The art style in this anime, like most parodies, can take a little getting used to, but it doen’t really cause headaches.

The characters have all their own quirks and foibles (San-chan’s sakura petals appearing out of nowhere for instance, and Nagasumi’s first kiss – I laughed so hard I got cramps), but these traits enhance the characters.

One of the biggest plus points for this anime is the ending.

All too often in anime we see a great series end with a whimper.

Not here.

The ending was brilliant in both it’s seriousness and it’s humour, in other words it’s seriously funny.

I would recommend this series to anyone who likes jaw dropping, side splitting, mind boggling humour.

And also a good anime where cold guy falls for a good girl.

I have laughed as much since I first watched Inukami, now there’s ashow that’s SO wrong 😀

4. Netsuzou Trap

anime where cold guy falls for a good girl

This anime has 12 episodes, in sub only.

It’s genres are drama and Shoujo.

“Yuma” and “Hotaru” have been friends since childhood.

So it’s only natural that when Yuma is nervous about her new boyfriend, she asks Hotaru for advice.

But when Hotaru starts coming onto Yuma for what feels like more than just practice, what does it mean?

With boyfriends in the foreground but a secret passionate tryst in the background, will Yuma and Hotaru try to forget what happened between them or have they fallen into a trap of true love and betrayal?

3. Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji

anime where cold guy falls for a good girl

A desire for acceptance is something that most of us can relate to, and at times that can drive us to certain extremes.

It’s a premise that is not necessarily unique, but for a shoujo series it actually is.

This has 12 episodes, in sub only.

For genres we have comedy, school and shoujo.

The cliched trope of a spineless heroine and her tsundere love interest is all too common.

However, this series provides us with a slight variant.

Story

Our main character is a compulsive liar with a penchant for emotional punishment (read: she’s a masochist) that happens to, in a series of poor decisions and bad judgment, land herself a two-faced jerk who is content to treat her like a dog.

Originality is not this anime’s forte, per se, but it is successful as a romantic comedy because it is uncommon.

The two main leads seem initially very unlikeable, but if you accept the fact that they mutually (consensually) engage in something of a sadomasochistic relationship, that neither one seems to want to disband even when given the chance, then the series provides some amusing comedy.

Characters

Erika is not your traditional shoujo heroine, she’s actually a plucky, resilient lead who for reasons unbeknownst to most viewers, seems to enjoy Kyouya’s treatment.

When situations arise that would stereotypically end in an angst-filled fight between our couple, Erika maintains her usual headstrong, blind determination to win over her ice-hearted prince.

She does actually develop as the series progresses, because initially his treatment of her does seem to bring her spirits down.

Yet she rather quickly begins to learn just how Kyouya works and how outwardly dishonest he is, and she adapts.

Kyouya is perhaps less impressive on the face of things, but the amusing reality is that he’s not like your traditional tsundere love interest in that he doesn’t have much in the way of redeeming qualities.

He is, quite frankly, a jerk to Erika constantly and only occasionally showers her with some vague form of affection.

But the series doesn’t try too hard to redeem him, he has no sad backstory to fall on, as he says himself.

His behavior is not entirely without cause, given the influence of his older sister.

Being cynical and misanthropic seems to run in the family.

Overall, the series has enough merits to warrant it being a good shoujo anime.

Although, this review may lead you to believe that the main characters are the most redeeming part of the series, it would be disingenuous to claim they aren’t the least bit frustrating.

If you have difficulty appreciating that they are more nuanced than they seem at first glance, then you will be hard pressed to find anything enjoyable about the series.

This certainly is not for everyone, it’s not about a sweet couple that fall in love gradually.

It’s about two characters who are so entirely human that they are flawed and utterly unlikeable, but as a result of which, happen to be highly entertaining together.

A good anime where cold guy falls for a girl.

2. Akkun to Kanojo

Akkun to Kanojo or ‘Akkun and his girlfriend’ grants us a 2 cours of 3 minute episodes.

Each episode functioning like a 4-koma series where we’re treated to Atsuhiro, or Akkun.

Playing a male tsundere to his girlfriend whenever she comes to spend time together or suggest something for them to do.

This anime has 25 episodes, in sub only.

It’s genres are comedy, josei, romance and school.

The main draw of this series comes primarily from his reactions where he shoots down his girlfriend Non’s suggestions a la verbal abuse (literally calling her trash, ugly, what have you).

Before going to the other room and acting all deredere and obsessive in secret because in reality, he sees her as an angel that’s graced this plagued earth and should be protected at all costs.

He just can’t physically show any affection towards her while she’s around because…reasons.

But he actually is head over heels for her and habitually acts like a stalker by tailing her or eavesdropping.

Nontan is oblivious to Akkun’s stalker ways and thinks his actions are cute.

Another good anime where cold guy falls for a girl.

1. Dame X Prince Anime Caravan

anime where cold guy falls for a girl

This anime has 12 episodes and sub only.

For genre’s, it’s adventure and romance.

The story follows on a princess from the minor nation of Inako.

Ani is sent to the singing ceremony that will bring peace to the rival nations of Milidonia, a mighty military country and Selenfalen, a powerful theocracy.

Ani is supposed to help steer the singing ceremony along but she runs into trouble when she encounters a handful of obstinate princes.

Comedy is great. The ability to make humor and get the audience laughing is a wonderful thing.

However, it is often the case that in that pursuit of comedy, other aspects of a show is ignored.

While there are many shows that are funny, there are very few shows that are able to branch out from that humor.

Dame X Prince is one of those that can.

First off as a fan of outlandish and silly humor, the humor of the show was right up my ally.

There a ton of good jokes that exist in the show.

And there are several running gags that the show is able to keep working well due to knowing how to switch things up and not focus too hard on one aspect.

It does a great job of parody both in the silly things that happen and in how the characters act.

Each of the princes is a bombastic parody version of standard tropes cranked up to 11.

Their actions are consistently hilarious and fun to watch.

But what I find even more impressive than how funny these silly princes are is how likeable these silly princes are.

Often times in the name of comedy, comedic characters aren’t made to be likeable but rather focus on being funny more than anything.

But each of these characters have their own perks.

They have development and do actually grow in the process of the series.

They do have arcs that teach them something about themselves and the world.

The plot too is decent when it actually kicks in.

While most of the show is focused on the humorous antics and the characters, the later episodes do ramp up the plot.

And does so in a way that feels natural and that works well.

It’s nothing complex or great but it well mirrors the character arcs that the characters go through along with provide something larger to go along with it.

If you like comedy, seriously check this out because it’s hilarious.

It’s probably one of the shows I’ve laughed the most at.

And if you like comedy with like-able characters with some development, seriously check this out, it’s quite good!
