This list will include a lot of works that are new in the industry and some that are there for sometime but definitely deserve a reading.
I’m hoping everyone is able to find something good to read.
And don’t forget to subscribe to our newsletter if you’re a fan of anime, manga or manhwa content.
Without further ado let’s get into the list.
Here are Top 10 Best Murim/Martial Arts Manhwa with OP MC:
It is the Dawn of chaos, that’s the plot.
No, for real that’s the official plot of this manhwa nothing else.
But I’ll give you a bit more without trying to spoil much.
The main character in this manhwa is a doctor and he gets a system that helps him with that type of stuff.
Now there’s not much action so far, but there’s in fact martial arts in this one.
So I’m hoping for something different in the future.
So far I really enjoy it because it’s actually rare to see a system in a horror and psychological story.
Definitely a manhwa you have to give a chance to.
Special Martial Arts Extreme Hell Private High School
A teenager decides to enroll in a martial arts high school so he can learn how to defend himself and not get bullied anymore.
But the school he has chosen to roll in is not like all other typical martial arts schools and will soon be caught up by a surprise.
Now, this manhwa has a very different heart style than most.
But that is easily overlooked and to be honest I quite like it.
In this manhwa, they give a different spin to the murim/martial arts concept which I quite like.
Overall a very nice read and I can’t say anything else because it will be a spoiler.
Global Martial Arts
Rebirth is just a starting point from reaching the peak, intruding on the rise of martial arts.
To give you a better understanding, the main character is reincarnated in the past in the same world he lived in.
The only difference is that this world is ruled by martial arts now.
And lucky for the main character, he has a system to help him with that.
While this story, like many others, is dependent on the system the main character is quite different.
Since he actually trains and studies so not everything is done by the system, the art is also really good which makes this a very pleasant read.
Fight Class 3
A world in which Korea is the global capital of combat sports.
At a high school where the best and most talented students of martial arts reside, the main character suddenly finds himself thrust into the mist despite being a total weakling.
By neutralizing his physical shortcomings through jiu-jitsu, he rises to the top of the fight classes.
Now, I really like fight class but I do admit that it might not be for everybody.
It takes a turn later in the manhwa that not everybody might enjoy.
Personally I really like Fight Class and I would totally recommend it.
The development of the main character is really good and that makes the story 10 times better!
Definitely give it a chance.
Legend of Phoenix
In an accident, a 10 year old genius boy followed the meteorites to the fantasy world.
In there, he lived with the dwarfs who were gated forging.
Together with the amazing ability he practiced hard and grew rapidly.
Not only did he learn the incomparable smelting and forging techniques of the dwarfs, but also spontaneously created new martial arts.
When everything developed peacefully, the cruelty came with the desires of others.
Now this one is a hidden gem, at least I think so.
I never heard anyone talking about it and I stumbled upon it by mistake.
The art is very consistent throughout the story and so is the main character.
He’s very strong but also really smart, definitely a work you should give a try to.
Tale of a Scribe Who Retires to the Countryside
A scholar who filled in the national exams is picked up by a martial arts master and given the task to record his life into a book.
Through his journey, he meets many great people and soon finds himself following the same path as his master, as the martial arts king.
The growth of the main character in this series despite being slow is very fun to read.
I really like the way this story is told. I can’t really explain why but there’s something about it that makes me want to read more and more.
Even though the art in the fight scenes might not be the best, this is still a great read!
So definitely give it a chance.
The Undefeatable Swordsman
The main character is a weak and sickly boy whose condition gets worse when he loses his mental capacities owing to the painting gifted by a sage.
He grows up as the village idiot, beaten by his own parents.
But unknown to everyone, his life is about to change soon and the new destiny awaits him when he turns 20 years old.
Not only does he have an epiphany but an undefeatable martial arts power begins to bloom inside of the painting.
What could all of this mean for him and what strange world awaits him?
One of the things I really like about this manhwa is the balance that the main character has.
He’s not a good guy to the point where he spares every single opponent but is also not a psychopath who kills them all.
Now, while the overall plot might not be super original, there are some things here and there that make this manhwa different.
Definitely a good read!
Fist Demon of Mount Hua
The main character is a sole survivor of a raid on his village.
Has a lame leg, the worst possible condition for a martial artist.
Nonetheless, he refuses to stop training whilst everyone around him tells him he cannot become the one, he refuses to give up on his dream.
Will he really be able to overcome his misfortune and become the best martial artist?
The story starts very bland for a lack of better words, just your typical murim/martial arts manhwa.
But as you keep reading it, it keeps getting deeper.
Which I think makes this work a lot better.
As per usual, the main character is really strong.
The art in this one even though it’s quite different, it fits this genre perfectly and gives a nice feeling to the story.
Overall a very nice read!
Following his mentor’s death, his protégé makes it his life purpose to avenge those who wronged his mentor.
He’s a chubby dumpling delivery boy and that’s basically it.
This is a revenge story with martial arts and also a lot of comedy.
Even though there were some times where the comedy wasn’t really funny, most of the times I did quite enjoy it.
This series can drag on for a bit but I still think it’s worth a read.
Give it a try yourself and see what you think.
Obviously, most of you already know about Nano Machine, but it’s in fact one of the most entertaining manhwa in the martial arts genre.
After being held in disdain and having his life put in danger, an orphan from the demonic cult has an unexpected visit from his ascendant from the future.
Who inserts a nano machine into his body which drastically changes his life after it’s activation.
The story about this young man’s journey bypassing the demonic gold and rising to become the best martial artist has just begun.
If you enjoy systems much like Solo Leveling, this is a great read.
The main character is super strong and the system, even though it does pretty much everything for him, is quite good and I really enjoyed it.
It has good action and good characters, so definitely give this one a chance if you haven’t yet.
